He was predeceased by: his parents, Sammie Hutcheson and Addie Johnson Hutcheson; his significant other Wanda Baker Hutcheson; and his siblings, Pauline Parsons, Sally Swineheart, Ann Sweat, Frank Hutcheson and J. H. "Bud" Hutcheson.
He is survived by: his children, Dewayne (Sheryl Hutcheson) of Douglas, Georgia, Delain (Carl Morris) of Douglas, Georgia and Rufus Hutcheson of Douglas, Georgia; and his sister Jewel Rahm of Jacksonville, Florida. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He was a past president of the Georgia Sheriff's Association, the last surviving charter member of the Douglas Exchange Club and the last surviving founding member of the Coffee County Kidney Foundation.
