It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Y. Day Jr. of Douglas, Georgia, who passed away on April 11, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Y. Day, Sr. and Geanie Jowers Day; and his siblings, Elmer Day, Tully Day, Jeray Day, Geraldine Moore and Floye Vickers.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Hill Day of Douglas, GA; and his children, Teri Schuster (Richard) of Jacksonville, FL, Randy Day of Callahan, FL, Deana Waldron (Gene) of Douglas, GA, Jamey Day (Donna) of Brunswick, GA, Wendy Hendricks (John) of Orange Park, FL, Stan Hughes (Ginger) of Douglas, GA and Trey Day (Teri) of Douglas, GA. He is also survived by 17 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren A number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
