It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Irene Simmons of Douglas, Georgia, who passed away on April 13, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Edward and Nellie Jackson Jernigan; her husband Keevie Simmons; her son Scott Simmons; and her sister Ann J. Phillips.
She is survived by: her son Timothy Simmons (Georgia) of Glennville; her daughter-in-law Jessica Simmons of Douglas, GA; and her siblings, Judy N. Owens of Glennville, GA, Jane Stubbs (Donnie) of Glennville, GA, Eugene E. "Bud" Jernigan (Patty) of Andersonville, GA and Paul Jernigan (Bertie) of Collins, GA. She is also survived by Two Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
