It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fredena Wooten of Donalsonville, Georgia, who passed away on July 20, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Annie Wooten; her husband Iverson Saffold; and her siblings, Charlie Wooten of Donalsonville, GA, Dorothy Williams of Rochester, NY and Althea Wilburn of Atlanta, GA.
She is survived by: her daughter Geraldine Cochran of Donalsonville, GA; her grandchildren, Melody, Melanie Cochran of Lithonia, GA, Sharon Collins of Tulsa, OK, Dena Wooten of Millbrook, AL, Sharon Brannon of Oakland, CA, Dr. Michael D. Saffold, Sr., Deandre Wooten (Tanya) of McDonough, GA, James and Wooten, Jr. (Portland Oregon); and her great grandchild Michael D. Saffold, Jr. (Baltimore, MD). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren. great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
