It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carl B. Powell Jr. of Dalton, Georgia, who passed away on December 14, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl B. Powell, Sr. and Janie Murray Powell. He is survived by: his brother Hugh of Dalton; his niece Valerie Brown of Dalton; his stepdaughter Sandra Fitzgerald (Mike) of St. Simons; and his grandchildren, Jesse (Lorelei) and Elizabeth Fitzgerald. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews.
