He is survived by: his wife Miriam Wadsworth Trotter; his daughter Linda Rollins (Richard); his siblings, Billy Trotter (Evon), Brenda Blalock (Tommy), Sybol Whorton (Larry) and Betty Cornett (Dannie); his granddaughters, Wendy Portwood (Donny), Stacy Dyer (Jarrod Wall) and Kristy Gordon (Corey); his great grandchildren, Andrew Portwood (Kelsey), Matthew Portwood (Elly), Caleb Portwood (Skye), CJ Gordon, Alexis Gordon, Emily Gordon, Alicia Walker (Keever) and Erin Dyer; and his great great grandchildren, Oaklynn, Tate and Dansby.

Thomas Porter Trotter (AKA Sonny), age 87, of Dallas, Georgia passed from this life to his eternal home in Heaven on August 20, 2023, following a battle with Alzheimer's and sustained complications from a recent fall.
