She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Poole Prewett and Oliver Wiley Prewett; and her husband John Walter Pitts. She is survived by: her sons, John Walter Pitts, Jr. (Pam) and Thomas Pitts (Kelly); her grandchildren, Joh Walter Pitts, III, Connor Pitts and Kendall Pitts; and her sister Mary Kennedy. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
