She was predeceased by: her parents, George Wallace Rakestraw and Agnus Odell Brown Rakestraw; and her siblings, J. W. Rakestraw, Weyman Rakestraw, Eileen Johnson, Wylie Rakestraw, Dale Rakestraw and Winfred Rakestraw.
She is survived by: her husband Clive Freeman; her children, Latrecia "Susie" Dockery (Benji) and Sammy Freeman; her grandchildren, Brent Dockery (Tia), Bryan Dockery (Erica), Sammie Jo McDearis (Nick), Allison Johnson (Hunter) and Laurel Lawerence (Jordan); her great grandchildren, Jazzman, Emmy Lou, Braxton, Avery, Magnolia, Blaire, Bayler and Elam; her great great grandchild Luminara; and her brother Ronnie Rakestraw. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
