He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Arvil Mason and Donnie Patterson Mason; his wife Marie Lawrence Mason; and his brothers, Ervin Mason and Stanley Mason.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jane Cross (Ben) of Dallas and Jean Goode (Paul) of Austell; his siblings, Shirley Anderson (Bill) of Blairsville, GA, Linda Mason of Villa Rica and Elmer Mason (JoAnn) of Jasper; his grandchildren, Pebbles Simpson (Steven), Kenneth Cross and Keith Cross (Jessica); his great grandchildren, Amber McClellan (John), Thomas Simpson, Nicholas Cross, Kale Cross and Konner Cross; his stepchildren, Sandra Wisor, Nancy Gunckel, Debra Butler, Donna Johnson (William) and Dewey Gipson (Lori); his stepgrandchildren, Michael Haney, Justin L. Jones, Joseph Butler, Brandon Butler, Brant Gipson, Ryne Gipson, Alaina Johnson and Kylee Gipson; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Alison Rohm and Logan Haney.
