It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John William Helms of Dahlonega, Georgia, born in Enterprise, Alabama, who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Ben Wayland Helms; his wife Joy; his children, Kristin (Kaleb Poth), Ashley (Brad Robertson), Ben Helms and William (Keegan Helms); his mother Nettie Reese; his brother Bob; his sister-in-law Sonja; and also, Nancy and Flo Helms. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren.
