He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Isbell and Hattie Isbell (Wilbanks); and his siblings, George, Jones, Charlie, James, Gene Isbell, Nell Lowe, Lucille Dooley, Grace Herron, Lucy Dellinger, Jessie Holland and Pauline Isbell.
He is survived by: his wife Mozelle Chastain Isbell of Dacula, GA; his daughter Jan; his son-in-law Curtis Upchurch of Loganville, GA; his grandchildren, Justin (Suzanne Upchurch) of Lawrenceville, GA and Ashley (Paul Grimes) of Flowery Branch, GA; his great grandchildren, Emily, Laurel, Gabriel Upchurch, Owen and Bennett Grimes; his brother Pernie Isbell of Evans, GA; and his brother-in-law Marshall Chastain of Toccoa, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers for donations to be made to The American Cancer Society, 250 Williams St, Atlanta, GA 30303 or to the Hebron Baptist Church Mission Fund, 202 Hebron Church Rd/ PO Box 279, Dacula, GA 30019.
