We are sad to announce that on November 17, 2023, at the age of 81, Walter Merritt Mattox of Cuthbert, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sharp and Cornelia Merritt Mattox; his brother Dr. Robert Sharp Mattox, III; his sister-in-law Glenda Mattox; and his niece Merritt Mattox.
He is survived by: his wife Bennie C. Mattox of Cuthbert; his daughter Melanie Stewart of Cumming; his grandson Seth Stewart of Marietta; and his stepsons, Fred Patterson of Cuthbert, Doug Patterson (Tiffany) of Ellaville and Joe Patterson (Emily) of Saint Augustine, FL. He is also survived by 5 step-grandsons.
