He was predeceased by: his siblings, Judy Rankin, David Merritt, Danny Merritt and Scott Merritt. He is survived by: his wife Connie Perdue Merritt; his children, Mya (Philip Kelley), Rachel Merritt, Joshua (Dirlene Carr) and Jason Merritt; his sisters, Deb (Ron Harder) and Eva (Lewis Major); and his siblings-in-law, Lorrie Perdue, Bob and Susan Perdue. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and beloved friends.
