He is survived by: his children, Thomas Johnston (Tina) and Cheryl Aaron (David); his grandchildren, Catherine Ledford, Nicole Lawrence (Tim), Matthew Johnston and Cheyenne Kitzmiller (Rob); his great grandchildren, Julian and Sadie Kitzmiller; his sister Bette Sue Quarles; and his nieces and nephews, Amanda Mashburn Tidwell (Jon), Robin Johnston Eggers (Randy), Jodi Allen, Mark Pierce and Julie Johnston Tepp (Tracy).
