He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Harrison and Mary Raper; and his brother Douglas "Pete" Raper. He is survived by: his wife Gail Meeks Raper; his son Brad; his daughter-in-law Karen Raper of Alto; his daughter Julie Raper Hamby of Cornelia; his grandchildren, James Raper of Mayesville and Lauren Raper of Lula; and his siblings, Sue Roach of Cornelia and Victor Raper of Gainesville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
