She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Wheeler and Eula Mae Nations Wheeler; her husband James Shook; her daughter Sharon Kay McDuffie; and her brothers, Howard Wheeler, Johnny Wheeler and Donald Wheeler.
She is survived by: her sons, Dennis (Tammy McDuffie), Dale (Cherri McDuffie), Dan (Connie McDuffie), Daryl (Lavenia McDuffie) and Stacy (Nathalie Wilkes); her stepchildren, Mike, Thelma Shook, Cathy Miller, Warren, Linda Shook, Lesae and Chris Bergeron; her siblings, Maeverie English (Patsy Roberts) of Fairview, Jimmy Wheeler of Clayton, Henry Wheeler of Demorest, Chester Wheeler of Fairview and Skip Wheeler of Fairview; her grandchildren, Dustin McDuffie, Devin McDuffie, Adam Stanley, Daniel McDuffie, Dakoda McDuffie, Dachary McDuffie and Dainon McDuffie; and her great grandchildren, Bency Stanley, Dylan McDuffie, Molly McDuffie, Elijah Price, Emma Price and Aaron Rabern. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church of one's choice and for everyone to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ; Barbara's last wish would be for her family and friends to come to know their Savior, Jesus Christ so they can meet Barbara again in Heaven.
