Meghan Elizabeth Younkin Obituary
Meghan Elizabeth Younkin was born on September 26, 1986, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Meghan grew up in Loveland Ohio and was raised by Jay Martina and now deceased Diana Martina.
Meghan was raised with many animals in her life including dogs, cats, birds, small exotics, and horses. This upbringing lifestyle ignited her passion to start pursuing her veterinary career.
She attained her bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University in 2009. She then was accepted into veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She attained her doctorate degree in 2015. She has worked in small animal private practices from 2015-2022 and even was accepted and endured a small animal surgery internship with Med-Vet Cincinnati in 2017.
She really enjoyed caring for the animals and devoted her life to be an advocate to teach owners about how to care for their pets. She also was an avid volunteer in the local animal rescues. During her Veterinary school career, she volunteered in the community and was the president of the Josh Project that gave back to the community kids in the hospital.
On September 30, 2017, she married her husband, Jarrod Theodore Younkin. They were married for 6 years and have a precious daughter Olive Maeve born on October 7, 2022. Meghan was a beloved mother and a caring wife. Her heart was set to make sure Olive had the best start to her life. Olive is the love of Meghan's life.
On November 26, 2023, Meghan's hard-fought war with cancer ended. She finally attained peace, and a celebration for her victory has begun.
Meghan is an inspiration to all and is cherished by her loving husband Jarrod Younkin, her daughter Olive, her uncle Jay Martina, her cousin Lydia Kefauver, mother-in-law Irene Younkin, father-in-law Michael Younkin, brother-in-law Nathan Younkin, sister-in-law Pamela Younkin, nieces, and friends.
Meghan's celebration of life will be Sunday December 3rd, 2023, at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Conyers Ga. Donations can be sent to ugift529.com.
