He is survived by: his wife Martha Jean Hughes; his children, Joy Hughes (Tom Kilby), Joni McCulloch (Russell) and John C. Hughes (Megan); his grandchildren, Ella Stevens, Jenna McCulloch, Michael McCulloch and Elijah Hughes; his siblings, Bill Hughes (Nancy) and Cheryl Jennings; and his pet Jack. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
