He was predeceased by: his father John Dolph Scoggins; his wife Cathy Dianne Whitsel Scoggins; and his brothers, John "Buck" Scoggins, Jr., Bobby J. Scoggins and Donald Scoggins.
He is survived by: his children, Benjamin Scoggins (Ashton) of Augusta, Catherine Scoggins (Carmen Stanziale) and Courtney Scoggins of Comer; his mother Kitty Yarbrough Scoggins; and his grandchildren, Maleah Booth, Cole Adams, Layton Stanziale, Dominic Scoggins, Scarlett Scoggins and Anthony Scoggins.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice.
