He was predeceased by: his parents, George Eddy Nelson Sr. and Edna Sheddan Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Amelia Coile Nelson; his children, Melissa Nelson Hames (Thunder), Michael Alan Nelson (Heather) and Shannon Marie Nelson; his siblings, Marsha Nelson and Danny Nelson; and his grandchildren, Zachary Hames, Michael Nelson, Jr., Will Hames and Faith Massey.
