Carolyn Hewitt Mitchell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Hewitt Mitchell in Columbus, Georgia, who passed away on August 24, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Faye McGimpsey Hewitt and Clyde Burton Hewitt, Sr.; her husband Floyd Mitchell, Jr.; her brother C. B. Hewitt, Jr.; and her sister-in-law Betsey Hewitt.

She is survived by: her son Floyd Mitchell III (Susan); her grandchildren, Laura Mitchell Knight (Chance), William Thomas Mitchell and Thomas Cooper Mitchell; her nephew C. Burton Hewitt III (Shirley); and her nieces, Carole Hewitt and Pegi Hewitt Williams (Skip).
