She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Smith and Flossie Wilbanks McCroskey. She is survived by: her husband Mike Turpin; her daughter Tiffany Whitmire (Calvin); her grandchildren, Owen and Macy Whitmire; and her siblings, Melissa Wilkes (Richard Turpin), Wanda Garrett, Danny McCroskey and Timothy Wilbanks. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
