She was predeceased by: her parents, George Smith and Carrie Chappell Smith; and her children, Nancy Friedman and Dwayne James, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Beth Leach, Randall James, Sr. (Faith) and Gregory James; and her grandchildren, Randall James, Jr., Alston James, Trevor James, Dwayne James, Jr., Ricky James, Tonya Jackson, Michael Spence, Holly Alexander, Gabrielle Gilley and Dylan Hall. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
