He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Durrence and W. C. Durrence; and his son Chad. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his daughter Kristen Gill; his son-in-law Jay; his grandchildren, James and Adair; and his sister-in-law Louise Smith (Ed). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
