He was predeceased by: his parents, Allie Lee Wood (Burroughs) and Lester Paul Wood; and his siblings, John Wood of Lester Wood, A. J, Harold Wood, Charles Wood, Jimmy Wood and Ruby Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Jimmie Ruth Wood (Lewallen); his children, Ann Knopp (David) of Seattle, WA, Judy Bailey of Buford, GA, Gail Lorentz (Tony) of Idaho Falls, ID and Gary Wood (Beth) of Cornelia, GA; and his siblings, Eunice Banks, Dink Wood, Brenda Wells, Teddy Wood and Mary Kormanik. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
