He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Garnto and Oreta Upshaw Garnto. He is survived by: his wife Juanita Marie Baublitz Garnto of Chester; and his children, Charles R. Lynch III (Casi) of Chester, Debbie A. Kolesar (Hank) of Chester, Nicole Terry (Jonny) of Fayetteville, Heather Hill-Wilson (Jeff) of Millen and Samantha Waites (Trey) of Dublin. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
