It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wendell Wayne Gibson of Chatsworth, Georgia, born in Dalton, Georgia, who passed away on May 2, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Lee Gibson and Mary Lucille Mullins Gibson; his brother Terry Gibson (Debbie Gibson); and his brother-in-law Leroy Mulkey. He is survived by: the mother of his children Cindy Ponders Tolliver; his sons, Shawn Gibson and Jason (Jennifer Gibson); his son-in-law Wesley Currin of Dalton, GA; his brother Ed; his sister-in-law JoAnn Mullins of Dalton, GA; his sisters, Deborah Mulkey and Cathy Gibson Lynn of Chatsworth, GA; his grandchildren, Crestlyn Gibson, Ethan Gibson, Dustin, Kassie Gibson, Max Gibson and Morgan Gibson; his great grandchild Crimson Gibson; his stepmother Barbara Gibson; and his aunts and uncles, Ruth Langham, Jerry (Charlotte Gibson), Buddy (Irene Gibson), Ronnie (Loretta Gibson), Waymond (Martha Gibson) and Donnie Mullins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
