He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Burger and Louise Burger; his former wife Joan Burger; and his siblings, Barbara Martin, Audrie Long, Alice Goodwin, Daniel Burger, Virginia Hodges, Tony Burger and Jackie Burger.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Burger of Chatsworth; his children, Rusty Burger of Cartersville and Michele; his son-in-law Drew Patterson of Jasper; his grandchildren, Payton Clark and Tucker Clark; his great grandchild Brooklyn Thomason; and his siblings, David Burger and Donna Weaver. He is also survived by seven step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren.
