He was predeceased by: his son Richard Edward King. He is survived by: his pet Penny; his siblings, Norman King, Leon King and Rosie King Schubert; his daughters, Jennifer King Brooks (Wayne) and Whitney Paige; his sisters, Mae King Burris, Marie King Thomas of Vonore and Vina King Cooke of Concord; his grandchildren, Whitney Brooks Manning (Zach), Amber King Lewallen (Brad) and Jamie King; and his great grandchild Waylon Manning. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Richard's favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Hospital.
