He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Garfield Banks and Lillie Artie Dotson Banks; his wife Gertha Lee Banks; and his siblings, Bert Banks and Marie Banks.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Banks, Dianne Banks Brown (Tim) and Debra Lee Foster (Lebo); his siblings, Troy Banks, Odell Clark and Carrie Sue Smith; his grandchildren, Matt Townsend (Rhonda), Joanna Cross, Chip Brown and Sarah Beth Brown; and his great grandchildren, Chloe Townsend, Eli Townsend and Lillie Cross.
