We are sad to announce that on November 26, 2023, at the age of 81, George Vernon Wimberley of Chatsworth, Georgia, born in Flat Rock, Alabama passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George Vernon Wimberley to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George David and Ella Lou Verdie Wimberley (Russell); his siblings, Jean Durham and Eskil Wimberley; and his stepbrother Willie Wimberley.
He is survived by: his sons, Anthony Wimberley (Alisa) and David Wimberley (Tammy); his siblings, Ann Brown (Roy Lee), Lee and Wayne Wimberley; his grandchildren, Brittany Walraven (Eric), C. J. Wimberley (Josie), Kalie, Breanna, Kristen, Jordan and Austin Wimberley; and his friend Rae Goswick. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers and George's wish, any memorial tributes can be made in the form of charitable donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
