He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Jones and Eunice Roberson Jones; and his siblings, Clinton Jones, James Jones, Bobby Joe Jones, Lucille Faw Newton, Josephine Souther and Christine Owens.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Kilgore Jones; his brother-in-law Lamar Kilgore (Phyllis); and his nephew Todd Kilgore (Lynn). He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
