He was predeceased by: his parents, Monroe Bennett and Tennie Bennett; and his siblings, Floyd, Robert, Howard, Frank, James Bennett, Lee Young, Redith Locke, Jean McCulley and Edith Burger.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Banks Bennett of Chatsworth; his daughter Renae; his son-in-law Tim Bailey of Lafayette, GA; his daughter Stephanie Hawkins of Dalton; his grandchildren, Jessica, Jenna Gallmon, Peyton and Parker Hawkins; his great grandchildren, Annalee Grace, Jocee and Cheslee; his brother-in-law James Banks; his brother Steve; and his sister-in-law Mary Ann Banks. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
