He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Reed and Vernie Reed; his children, Stephanie Fritts and Tim Reed; and his stepfather William Thurman.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Reed of Chatsworth; his daughter Tenna Reed of Chatsworth; his siblings, Ricky (Mitzi Reed), Joe Reed of Chatsworth, Kathy, Terry O'Bryant of Chatsworth and Felicia (Robert Winkler); his siblings-in-law, Geraldine, Charles Pierce of Chatsworth, Jean and Tommy Defore of Chatsworth; his grandchildren, Kiersten and Jayden Fritts; and his aunt Marie Reed. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
