She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Lawrence and Grace Ellie Lois Newton (James); and her brothers, Stevie and Jerry Newton. She is survived by: her husband James Gibson of Chatsworth, GA; her children, Tammy (Jimmy Bennett) and Travis E. Corbin of Ellijay, GA; her sister Yvonne Newton Land of Dalton, GA; her sister-in-law Marie Wells of Ellijay, GA; her grandchildren, Brandy Corbin Jones, Blake M. Bennett and Amber I. Miles; and her great grandchildren, Samuel Jones, Mary Grace Jones and Brooklynn Bennett.
