It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sammy James Strickland (Cedartown, Georgia), born in Buchanan, Georgia, who passed away on August 15, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mac Strickland and Annie Strickland; and his children, Cindy Strickland and Jason Strickland. He is survived by: his wife Doris Strickland; his sons, Randy Strickland and Michael Strickland (Tonya); and his grandchildren, Dustin Strobel, Austin Strobel, Brody Strickland, Carson Strickland, Casey Strickland, Tyler Strickland, Garrett Strickland, Crystal Norton, Sunni Allen, Kristin Strickland and Maggie Strickland. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family requests that flowers please be omitted and memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
