She was predeceased by: her husband Tom Sawyer; her daughter Sue Lynn Sawyer Dixon; her parents, Rev. Taft Owenby and Beatrice Owenby; and her sisters, Glenna Owenby and Charlotte Owenby Russell.
She is survived by: her children, David Tom Sawyer of Cherokee County, AL and Deborah Anne Sawyer (Mark Hampton) of Gainesville, GA; her grandchildren, Andrew Mallory Sawyer (Polina), Hillery Anne Sawyer (Ben), William David Sawyer (Haley), Cory Winnerman, Chloe Anne Hampton, Elizabeth Sawyer Hampton and Allison Beatrice Hampton; her great grandchildren, Zoeie Sawyer, Liam Sawyer and Juniper Sawyer; her sisters, Joyce Owenby Warren, Martha Owenby Nasessig (Tom) and Taftene Owenby Baker (Jerry); her siblings-in-law, Margaret Sawyer Martin (Bill), Eunice Sawyer Jones (Raymond) and Neil Russell; her cousin Ruby Anne Clayton; and her friend Paula.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund in Billie's name.
