She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Ragsdale and Margie Helton Ragsdale; and her husband Earl Gordon Staples, Jr.. She is survived by: her son Earl "Trey" Gordon Staples, III; her daughter-in-law Kristie; her grandchildren, Christian Staples and Preston Staples; her daughter Jenny Parker; her granddaughter Mary Jane Parker; her son Jason; her daughter-in-law Courtney Staples; her grandchildren, Rhys Staples, Sullivan Staples and Layton Staples; and her sister Deena Hand.
Memorial donations may be made to the Emory Winship Cancer Institute Brain Tumor Fund.
