He was predeceased by: his parents, Garnett Heath and Mary Woods Heath; his former wife Lydia Ibarra Heath; his son Michael James Heath; and his brother Alton Heath.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Smith Heath of Butler; his sons, David Heath (Mary) of Lottsburg, VA, Alan Heath (Gina) of Gaithersburg, MD and Mark Heath (Roberta) of Richmond, TX; and his stepchildren, Allen Smith (Dawn) of Centerville, Wayne Smith (Terry) of Reynolds, Edie Baxley (Jeff) of Baxley, Steve Smith (Dana) of Butler, Todd Smith (Hayley) of Warner Robins, Dane Smith (Judy) of Butler and Tia Sanderlin of Hahira. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
