With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alex Thornton Sears of Butler, Georgia, who passed away on August 15, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Sears and Helen Sears. He is survived by: his children, Chris Cox of Marietta, GA and De Sears of Ellaville; his siblings, Jim Murray of Lumpkin, Billy, Lady Sears of Navasota, TX, Roy and Lisa Sears of Ashburn, GA.; and his grandchildren, Cambelle and Carter Sears of Ellaville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Enterprise Baptist Church, Richland, GA 31825.
