He was predeceased by: his parents, Layton Dowling and Lillian Dubois Dowling; his wife Jeanette Dowling; his daughter Linda Hill; and his granddaughter Amanda Howard.
He is survived by: his children, Keith Dowling (Linda) of Kingsland, GA, Wayne Dowling (Renee) of Waukesha, WI, Gwen Harris (Rickey) of Brunswick, GA and Von Crumley (Harvel) of Yulee, FL.; and his grandchildren, Katie Barry, Lindsey Swendson, Abigail Crumley, Karla McLain, John Harris, Bryan Dowling, Crystal Groover, Alicia Brislin, April Howard, Jana Hill and Chris Hill.
