He is survived by: his daughters, Fran Merritt (Dale) of Douglas, Michele Newell (Cecil) of Broxton and Amy Johnston (Michael) of Lilburn; his sister Deborah Wooten (Marvin) of Broxton; his grandchildren, Candis Polk, Jered Merritt, Amber Newell, Angela Newell, Larkin Johnston and Lucy Johnston; his great grandchildren, Sara Polk, Abbiegale Polk, Brooklynn Polk, Delilah Merritt, Jaylinn Merritt, Matthew Palmer and Jaci Palmer; and his nephew Jamie Kight.
