She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Fricks and Margie Dean Fricks; her husband Winford "Toby" Shoemake, Jr.; her sons, Charles Anthony "Tony" Shoemake and Tommy Lee Shoemake; and her siblings, Larry Fricks and Hilda LaFountain.
She is survived by: her daughter Kathy Taylor of Braselton; her siblings, Girldan Gibbs of Duluth, Barbara Bagwell of Chestnut Mountain, Sherry Gowen of Chestnut Mountain and Gary Fricks of Homer; and her grandchildren, Winfred Dunagan, Candace Young, David Anthony Shoemake, Nicole Laurie, Cameron Shoemake and Robert Taylor. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
