She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Harper and Gertrude McCorkle Harper; her husband Jethro Franklin "Frank" Gowan; her daughters, Myra and Doris Gowan; her granddaughter Jennifer Craft; and her brother William Lawrence Harper.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lynda Parker (Wayne), Diane Gowan, Ellen Everson-Taylor (Frank), Rhonda Paul of Nashville, TN and Trudie Evans (Ed); and her brother Thomas Harper of Valdosta, GA. She is also survived by six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family members and friends.
