He is survived by: his wife Joyce Brumbelow Deaton of Aragon; his daughters, Jody Deaton Barnes (Tony) of Rockmart and Shea Deaton Hughes (Dwayne) of Thorsby, Alabama; his grandchildren, Tyler Barnes (Brittni), Kyser Barnes Pritchett (Jacob), Mary Mackenzie Hughes and Tayler Barnes; his great grandchild Kash Pritchett; and his brother Charles Deaton of Sugar Valley.
