He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Johnson Wilkerson; his parents, Merland Wilkerson and Myrtle Lucille Martin Wilkerson; and his brothers, Carl Wilkerson, Allen Wilkerson and Wilbur Wilkerson.

He is survived by: his son Joshua Wilkerson; his daughter-in-law Rebecca Wilkerson of Baxley; his grandchildren, Isabelle Wilkerson, Hunter Bolton and Remington Bolton; and his sister Margaret Tilson of Jesup. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
