He was predeceased by: his former wife Jessie Mae Vaughn; his daughters, Sherry Vaughn and Julie Vaughn Carter; and his parents, Miles Vaughn and Zelma Vaughn.
He is survived by: his wife Ettie Mae Vaughn; his children, Miles (Gina Vaughn), George Vaughn, Brenda (David Gruber), Cindy (Warren Stewart) and Tammy (Wayne Canady); and his son-in-law Jimmy Carter. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and numerous other family members.
