He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Dickson Sr. and Mary Rhoades Dickson; and his stepfather Rev. J. Yates Frady. He is survived by: his wife Karen Mattox Dickson; his daughters, Annie Martin (James) and Angela Lee Wilcox (Kenneth); his grandchildren, Hunter Moody, Drew Moody, Brewer Martin, Eva Martin, James Wilcox, Hannah Wilcox and Noah Wilcox; his sister Cindy Vinson (Joey); his stepsisters, Nancy Huggins and Karen Smith (Randy); and his siblings-in-law, Becky Jones (Vernon), Veta Turner, Charlene Slay (Simmie) and Terry Mattox (Donnie Gail). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
