He is survived by: his child Bonnie Brewington; his spouse Meg Smith Harter; his children, Walker Russell Harter III (Russ) and Paul Loadholt Harter (Holt); his siblings, John Brewington Harter (Cricket) and Tiffanie Lynn Harter Doremus (Gary); his sister-in-law Nancy Malphurs (Robert) of Dallas, TX.; his nieces and nephews, Nick Doremus, Brew Harter, Gant Lairsey, Ryan Malphurs, Izzy Harter and Sydney Doremus; and his great-nephew Collins Lairsey.
