He was predeceased by: his father Harvey McClendon; and his stepbrother Joe Glenn Sumner. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Ann Miller Sumner of Waycross; his stepfather Hilsman Sumner of Ellenton; and his stepsisters, Cindy Carter (Ron) of Chapman, SC and Sabrina Shiver (Steve) of St. Simons Island. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2020 at Willacoochee City Cemetery with Rev. Danny Callahan officiating.
